Terms & Conditions

From Chaos To Connection

At Peace Talks, we believe in fostering a world where everyone’s needs are heard, recognized, and deeply considered through the art of dialogue. We are committed to creating a space where communication and mutual understanding are at the core of our offerings.

Before you proceed, we would like to check if you agree to the following points. If you would like any adjustments to be made in these Terms and Conditions, please reach out to us directly. We are open to a dialogue to ensure the text works for everyone involved:

Fees

This Programme is offered on a Gift Economy basis, meaning there is no fixed fee. The main facets of our Gift Economy approach include:

  • Community Care: An attempt to recreate a world where we care for each other, acknowledging that our well-being is inextricably tied to one another and that we have agency in creating a world focused on need, not greed.
  • Accessibility: A commitment to ensuring our teachings and support are accessible to a wide range of people, regardless of financial circumstances. We aim to ensure that the care and guidance we offer flow directly to those who need them, no matter their ability to pay.
  • Financial Sustainability: While the programme is offered in a Gift Economy spirit, this does NOT mean it is free or without financial value. Teaching these programmes is the primary way we support ourselves and our families financially. Your contribution enables us to meet our basic needs so we can live, care for our families, and continue this work we love from a resourced place.
  • Value and Commitment: Many of us have been shaped by a culture that links value and commitment to financial investment; the idea that if we pay more, we value something more and engage more fully. While we understand this conditioning, we invite you to notice how it influences your own sense of commitment; regardless of the amount you contribute.

Commitment & Participation

We genuinely want to support the possibility that you receive the deepest benefit from what this course offers. Over many years, we have developed and fine-tuned this programme with a great deal of care, reflection, and lived experience, and we believe it holds the potential for meaningful change in both your life and your family relationships.

We have found that this kind of transformation is not something that happens simply by passively consuming the content. While we will do our best to create a nourishing, supportive, and accessible learning environment, the course does ask for a willingness and commitment to engage with various course-components.

By registering for this 8-month programme, you are entering into a commitment to your own growth, learning, and engagement. We invite you to check in with yourself about your willingness to prioritise this course during the time we journey together, including engaging with the video-lessons, practices, and live sessions as a meaningful part of your week.

We also understand that life can bring unexpected changes, shifts in capacity, and evolving circumstances. Our intention is to hold both clarity and care in how we structure participation.

Before joining, we invite you to reflect on:

  • What level of space you realistically have for consistent participation

  • What meaningful engagement would look like for you in practice

  • Any factors that may support or impact your ability to stay engaged over time

We trust that commitment can take different forms, and we encourage honesty with yourself about what is realistic for your current season of life.

We want you to feel safe exploring whether this programme is the right fit for you. That’s why we offer a Worry-Free Guarantee:

After the Initial Two Months

After the first two months, we invite participants to continue their monthly payments as part of their ongoing commitment to the programme and in support of the sustainability of the work we are offering. This ongoing contribution helps us continue holding and developing the space for all participants.

If unforeseen circumstances arise that significantly impact your ability to continue, you may contact us to discuss pausing or cancelling your payment plan. In such cases, we will support you in stopping future payments.

Please note that payments already made are non-refundable.

Our hope is that this structure supports both clarity and freedom, allowing you to enter with confidence, engage fully, and stay in integrity with your commitment and circumstances as they evolve.

Access to Materials

You’ll receive access to each module month by month, and you’ll continue to have full access to all course materials for 8 months. After that time, you’re warmly invited to join our Living Compassion Community Membership - a space to keep deepening your practice, stay connected with others, and receive ongoing support.

Programme Cancellation by Peace Talks

While we do not anticipate needing to cancel, Peace Talks reserves the right to do so if unforeseen circumstances arise. In the unlikely event of programme cancellation, all pre-payments will be refunded in full within 14 days of the cancellation announcement.

Health Disclosure

It is your personal responsibility to inform the trainer(s) of your health status (physical and mental) and/or use of any medication. This is to ensure safety, clarity, and the appropriate support throughout the programme, both for you and the trainer(s).

Neither Peace Talks nor its trainers are liable for any physical and/or psychological damage that you claim to have acquired due to participation in the programme. This is to ensure we have a shared understanding of ‘self-responsibility.’

We encourage you to speak up if anything does not feel safe to you at any time. Please be gentle with yourself and take any necessary measures to care for your well-being. Safety is of utmost importance to us, and we recognize that everyone has different ways of caring for it. We are here to support you in this process.

Online Session Recording

We may record our Zoom sessions for our own learning purposes. Your privacy and sense of safety are important to us, and recordings will only be used in this context, unless we make a separate request and receive your explicit consent.

By joining the sessions, you consent to being recorded, with the understanding that your comfort and confidentiality will be respected at all times.

Confidentiality

All communication with Peace Talks (within and outside of the programme) will be handled with strict confidentiality. Participant information is securely saved on our platform.

Time and Presence Commitment

A crucial aspect of this programme is learning to care for our needs, which means embracing the art of slowing down. We invite you to pause and reflect on this commitment:

This programme requires regular engagement for effective learning and integration. On average, we recommend dedicating at least 1 hour per week in addition to the Zoom sessions. This includes watching videos, reading monthly emails, engaging with the community, and completing exercises. Please take a moment to reflect on this weekly commitment and how it can fit into your schedule.

Your consistent presence at the live sessions is invaluable for both contributing to and benefiting from the shared learning experience. Be sure to check the session times and plan your schedule around them.

Live Sessions & Waitlist Policy

Live sessions are 1.5 hours long. When 4 or fewer people attend, we reduce the time to one hour.

We know time zones and busy schedules don’t always line up. That’s why we offer two options:

1. Sign up now and get started

  • Receive immediate access to the monthly drip modules and the full course community.

  • Add yourself to the waitlist for live sessions.

  • Once at least 10 parents share overlapping availability - and the timing works with our facilitation schedule - we’ll open a new group (for either a Grief Circle and/or a Practice Session).

  • As soon as your group begins, you’ll be eligible to attend eight (8) consecutive monthly live practice sessions and eight (8) grief circle sessions (16 in total).

Please note: while we do our best to open new groups when interest and availability align, we cannot guarantee when or if a new group will be formed. In the meantime, you’ll still benefit from the course content and community space. You may also choose to book one-on-one support or practice sessions with Jorinde or Sally if you’d like more personalised guidance.

2. Wait for new live session times

If you’d prefer not to enroll until a suitable live session group is available, you can simply join the waitlist.

Please join our waiting list here so we can notify you when we offer a new round with different session times.
