We are so excited you are joining us!
What does the programme cost?
The short answer:
$170 NZD deposit + Pay What you Are Willing and Able at the end
(OR $670 NZD flat fee)
The fuller answer:

There are two ways you can pay for this course; a conventional way (for busy people who just want ease and simplicity), and a gift economy approach (our preferred method, perfect for the experimental idealists among us).
OPTION 1: The Gift Economy (Pay what you can) option

This programme is offered on a gift economy (pay what you are willing and able) basis, meaning that we would love for our offerings to be received as a gift, and we hope that people can likewise see their financial contribution as a gift. We invite people to find an amount to contribute that really feels comfortable for them to offer without stretching into hardship while also supporting us to continue doing this work we love so much.

The Gift Economy approach is a very different way of operating in the world; a little uncertain and maybe even uncomfortable at times, and also incredibly rewarding, exciting and hopeful. If you want to explore a radical economic paradigm of integrating and embodying the connection and needs-based lens into every aspect of your life (including your economic decisions) then this is an amazing opportunity for you: Welcome, friend, to this brave new world!

This is the way we invite you to contribute to this course:
1. Deposit. Upon registration, you send in a $170 NZD deposit to confirm your spot. This is the amount we need to cover the direct costs of a course like this (i.e. the online course platform, email software etc). This deposit is refundable up until two weeks before the start of the course. After that, we will retain the deposit, as it is challenging for us to fill your place with any shorter notice.

2. Pay what you are willing and able. Then, at the end of the programme, as we finish our last weeks together, you will be given the opportunity to pay whatever you are willing and able to contribute on top of your initial deposit (You will be given plenty of time and guidance on this decision. No pressure and no rush. This is slow, needs-based economics). You are free to nominate any amount, and I will invoice you for this figure.

Whatever you choose to contribute is perfect. There is no minimum, and there is no maximum. Some people can afford more and some less. There’s no expectation to pay a particular amount at all. We trust your choice, and are grateful for your contribution whether it is $10 or $10,000. (Really!)
You are welcome to make your contribution in four installments spread over the four months following the course. We recognise that parents are often living paycheck to paycheck, and it’s sometimes easier to spread payments out rather than people feeling distressed that they are unable to pay a large sum all in one moment.

"The gift economy represents a shift from consumption to contribution,
from transaction to trust, from scarcity to abundance and isolation to community"
Charles Eisenstein, Sacred Economics.
OPTION 2: The Conventional "Market Value" option

We recognise that the gift economy approach can be a bit uncertain and daunting for some people. If you prefer the clarity and certainty of a set price, you are welcome to pay a flat price of $670 NZD upon registration in this programme. This amount reflects the standard “market value” of a course like this (reflecting the time, expertise, care and resources that go into preparing and offering an interactive, intensive programme like this).
If you would prefer to just have a clear answer to the question “what is this worth?” and have the finances all settled up before the package starts, then this is likely to be the best option for you.
This is fully refundable up to 2 weeks before the start of the programme, and partially refundable (less a $170 NZD deposit) up to seven (7) days before the package begins. After this point, if you decide not wish to use the programme, we are open to refunding your payment but would keep a $250 NZD cancellation fee (in addition to the $170 deposit) because we are unable to fill your place once the course starts.
